Big Brother Is Not Only Watching, He’s Brewing Cups Of Coffee For You! - Creative Exercise 13
Introduction
The world is changing, and as we move into the future, technology
is evolving tremendously. GPS systems have been installed in our cars and telephones,
and they can help us with various tasks due to satellite services.
Some of the services they provide are directions to a
destination, unlocking vehicles, locating someone’s phone, radio stations, and
more.
I have chosen to complete the exercise Big Brother Is Not
Only Watching, He’s Brewing Cups Of Coffee For You! out of the book CAFFEINE
FOR THE CREATIVE MIND – 250 EXERCISES TO WAKE UP YOUR BRAIN written by Steven
Mumaw and Wendy Lee Oldfield.
Big Brother Is Not Only Watching, He’s Brewing Cups Of Coffee For You!
Big Brother Is Not Only Watching, He’s Brewing Cups Of
Coffee For You! Instructs you to list at least ten every day, time-saving and
helpful ideas for GPS/satellite navigations in your life.
List Of At Least Ten Things:
Turn the air or heat on when it's cold or hot.
Roll up your windows when it’s about to rain.
Automatically tint your windows when it's sunny outside.
Make a shopping list of when things are getting low in your house.
Automatically alerts emergency services when you lose a tire
or are in a fender bender.
Turn off appliances in the house if they are left on when
you leave.
Stops the vehicle when an object, animal, or human being is in
front of it.
Alerts you of possible electricity overload in the house.
Puts up a protective shield for your car in bad weather
conditions.
Projects a hologram for important persons who are being
chased or approached in bad areas.
Automatically reroutes you to the nearest gas station when
you are low on gas.
Have your pot of coffee ready for you every morning.
Conclusion
Coming up with ideas that GPS/Satellite services can provide
will be instrumental to the future. The solutions that I came up with would
save people a lot of time and money. Some of them would also save the lives of
humans and animals. I was actually impressed with some of the ideas that
started flowing in. I ended up taking some time to work on another project to
give my brain a break. When I revisited the subject, I came up with a couple of
juicy ideas. We don’t think about these things when we are in a hurry or going about
our daily lives, but these systems could really help many different groups of
people.
