Nigerian Street Buka - Project 25a

We have jumped into the first week of Intro to Marketing and Self-Promotion. For the duration of this class, we will be working on the branding process for a restaurant. We will be creating a logo, business cards, letterheads, envelopes, web page mock-ups, touchpoints, a menu, and a branding guide. In this post, we are instructed to describe the restaurant: the food, the atmosphere, the dining experience, the anticipated audience, and anything that makes it unique. We are to think of the vision and mission of the restaurant envisioning the entire dining experience from a first-person point of view.

Welcome to Nigerian Street Buka, you will dive into the culture of Nigerian people, community, food, and music.

Vision: Bringing people together, bite by bite and beat by beat celebrating authentic Nigerian heritage.

Mission: To provide an authentic, wholesome, and immersive experience by delivering vibrant, rich Nigerian food and lively music to our American backyard.

Food: Our food is fresh, bold, and loud when it comes to flavor. Spices like suya pepper, ginger, garlic, and chili peppers fill your mouth with heat, while palm oil and tomatoes add richness. Soups and stews are often thick and hearty, while rice dishes are overflowing with vibrant colors and aromas.

Atmosphere: Our atmosphere is just as vibrant and loud as our food, filled with light-hearted conversation, laughter, and the sizzling sound of our traditional dishes being prepared in the background. Our open restaurant plan is medium-sized, brightly lit, and decorated in vibrant colorful signs and relics.

Dining Experience: Our dining experience is relaxed and casual like you are coming to a cookout in your family or friend’s backyard. The service is fast-paced. You order, pick up your food, and have a seat with everyone. We have some private tables and communal tables where everyone can spark conversation and dance and sing to our live Nigerian bands and music. We bring to you the backyard of Nigeria where everyone comes together to eat and have a great time, always leaving with a smile.

Anticipated Audience: Our little treasure of Nigeria welcomes friends, family, businesses, and all walks of life and ages to indulge in our food and lively music.

How is it unique?

Our restaurant is set up exactly how it would be if you were to step into a street food restaurant in Nigeria. It has an open kitchen where our family and friends can watch the excitement directly in the kitchen. It is filled with vibrant colors, and you can come to enjoy live Nigerian bands and music every day. We import our spices and foods from Nigeria directly, and everything is fresh.
