Publix Flowers Facebook Post- Project 32

Image
Introduction      Publix has been in the spotlight for the last two weeks of my course, Graphic Design Portfolio. They are one of the major corporations in the Lakeland area where their headquarters reside. I chose these company based off of their outstanding values and how they portray themselves.      For my last project of the course, I have chosen to create a Facebook post in its correct dimensions. The focal point of this post is flowers. Amongst the plethora of products and services that Publix provides one that may be hidden with the other gems is the floral department. This post is specifically for wedding flowers and arrangements.      This idea came to me rather quickly. I chose a stunning bouquet from their website that I wanted to promote, Amber Romance. I decided to put the picture of the bride holding the bouquet up in the top left corner while the bouquet standing alone is just below it to the right. This showcases the flowers from two different perspectives.

Introduction      Publix is more than just a grocery store chain. Well known for its exceptional customer service and high-quality products, Publix has committed to giving back and working within the community, fostering a sense of belonging. Publix also embraces a light-hearted spirit, creating fun customer promotions and activities. While delving into my research on Publix and learning about its brand identity, I stumbled across a section that piqued my interest. Publix has a page on its website devoted to Halloween-related crafts and treats. This page is rightfully named, Creepy, Crafty Fun, and judging by the photos provided, they will definitely make for a great time, especially if you have young children. After discovering this hidden treasure on Publix’s website, I knew my next project would involve Halloween.      My next project is a full-page magazine ad advertising two recipes listed on Publix’s Creepy, Crafty Fun page. I knew that I would include one of them right away,

Where is that “Q” I’ve Been Saving - Creative Exercise 40

Introduction      How well do you actually know your workspace? Is your workspace tiny and tight filled with every object imaginable, or is it rather large with absolutely nothing but a laptop, pen, and paper? Are the objects that make up your workspace work related, or are they things that you have brought in that have taken up the empty space surrounding you? Today we are about to find how well we know our workspace, and whether or not the right objects are occupying it.      This creative exercise is a bit different from the rest. It is also from the book “CAFFEINE FOR THE CREATIVE MIND: 250 WAYS TO WAKE UP YOUR BRAIN" , written by Stefan Mumaw and Wendy Lee Oldfield , and it is called “Where is that “Q” I’ve Been Saving” .      “Where is that “Q” I’ve Been Saving” is an eccentric title in itself. This is what was on my mind as I was writing this out, so I thought I would share. Anyway, this exercise would like us to study our workspace area. As we are looking around,

Publix Instagram Post - Project 30

Introduction      Publix is a company that places great emphasis on the quality of their products. This stands out in their company in more ways than one. A great contributor to this statement is their GreenWise organic product line. “GreenWise products were created from a shared belief in good, and you can find them throughout our stores. We believe is should be easy to bring home products you can feel good about.” You can visit the link below for more information. Link: https://greenwisemarket.com/greenwise-products      The second project I chose to create this week is a Publix Instagram post that is promoting the GreenWise Ginger Wellness Shot. I am an advocate of these shots. I choose to take a holistic approach with medicine, and these shots are a great asset.      I began this project by brainstorming different pieces that I would like to contribute. In the end, I decided to create an Instagram post with the GreenWise Ginger Wellness Shot. Then I began to sketch out som

Publix BOGO Half-Page Ad - Project 29

Introduction      Wrapping it from an exciting and adventurous journey of knowledge pertaining to the world of Graphics Arts and Design, I have arrived at my final destination, Graphic Design Portfolio. Graphic Design Portfolio introduces designers to the highly competitive and unpredictable work force. Here we discuss the how and why we construct cover letters and resumes, along with what to expect when arriving for an interview with a potential employer. It is no secret that the world of graphic design is rapidly evolving, but just as fast as its growth increases, so do our designers.      For one of the projects this week, we are to design a piece that would help us land the job that we have chosen. I chose the Graphic Designer position on the Marketing team at Publix’s corporate office in Lakeland, Fl.      My first project is a Buy 1, Get 1 half-page ad. Publix is well known for their Buy 1, Get 1 deals, and they are heavily advertised as one of Publix’s few benefits.      T

Pimp My Red Flyer - Creative Exercise 39

Image
Introduction      Antonio Pasin immigrated from Italy to America in 1914 landing in Chicago, Illinois. Upon his arrival, he began working alongside his father and grandfather, who were cabinet makers. Pasin used his design skills to construct phonograph cabinets, but he also loved to create his own projects. Amidst one of his creations, he invented the “Liberty Coaster” which was named after the Statue of Liberty which he encountered on his journey to America. The Liberty Coaster is known today as the iconic Radio Flyer-The Original Little Red Wagon.      This week’s creative exercise is also out from the book “CAFFEINE FOR THE CREATIVE MIND: 250 WAYS TO WAKE UP YOUR BRAIN" , written by Stefan Mumaw and Wendy Lee Oldfield, and the exercise is coincidentally named “Pimp My Red Flyer.”      “Pimp My Ride” is an iconic show from MTV that takes old or ordinary vehicles and “pimps them out” by reconstructing them to create a luxurious urban/creative-styled finished product.

Ini Archibong designs packaging for Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre's Gin & Juice - Design Post 23

Design is everywhere. What is appealing to the viewer's eyes? What deeply interests their intrinsic desires? How can we get someone to purchase a product from our target market? Can we get people outside of our target market to buy these products? These are all the questions that ran through my mind as I read the article I am about to discuss in this post. Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre recently launched a drink named Gin & Juice which is a product of the Grammy-nominated song “Gin & Juice” from Snoop Dog’s debut album Doggystyle-produced by Dr. Dre.      The article is “Ini Archibong designs packaging for Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s Gin & Juice” written by Jennifer Hahn . The link is below. Link: https://www.dezeen.com/2024/08/07/ini-archibong-snoop-dogg-dr-dre-gin-and-juice/      This new product features the image of a hand-drawn lowrider that captures your interest at first glance. This was produced from the inspiration and vision of designer Ini Archibong , a N

Introduction      Flags are an object that most of us are familiar with. They surround us identifying countries, states, counties, sports teams, clubs, politics, etc. They present the viewer with colors, typography, imagery, meaning, symbols, stature, and pride, evoking emotion. A flag can make up anything that represents the institution’s brand identity. They ‘stand’ for something, and that is the main reason why people put them on a pedestal. It is to the point where people almost worship them. They become a part of someone's personality in extreme situations. If you are from the United States of America, you know that as a kid, (depending on your age) we stood before the flag reciting the renowned “Pledge of Allegiance” before we began our day in our local schools. We also recited the “Pledge of Allegiance” before major sports events and some entertainment. America is a prideful and proud nation, and the infamous flag with 15 red and white stripes and 50 blue stars waves proud
